Binance USDT TRC20 Withdrawal: Step-by-Step Guide

Binance USDT TRC20 Withdrawal: Step-by-Step Guide

In short: a Binance USDT TRC20 withdrawal takes 3–5 minutes: open Assets → Overview → Withdraw, pick USDT, paste a TRON address starting with T, select the TRON (TRC20) network, check the fee shown on the page, and confirm with 2FA or a passkey. Binance pays the on-chain cost; you pay its flat withdrawal fee.

What do I need before withdrawing USDT TRC20 from Binance?

Three things, checked in this order:

  1. A TRON address that you control or that the recipient gave you. It starts with T and is 34 characters long. If you don't have one yet, our guide on what TRC20 is explains how TRON addresses differ from Ethereum ones.
  2. Confirmation that the receiving side accepts TRC20. If you are sending to another exchange or a payment processor, look at its deposit page and make sure it lists TRON / TRC20 for USDT, and whether it asks for a memo.
  3. Security set up on your Binance account. Withdrawals require 2FA or a passkey, and Binance may require a new device or a new address to pass extra checks.

The general logic is the same on every exchange; our overview of withdrawing USDT TRC20 from an exchange covers OKX, Kraken and others. This article focuses on Binance's own screens, based on Binance's official withdrawal FAQ as checked on 21.10.2026. Menu labels do change, so if a button looks different, follow the FAQ's current version.

How do I withdraw USDT TRC20 in the Binance app or on the web?

In the mobile app

  1. Open Assets, go to Overview and tap Send, then Withdraw Asset.
  2. Choose the account to send from and select USDT.
  3. Paste the destination address. Binance suggests a network based on the address; confirm it is the TRON / TRC20 option.
  4. Enter the amount. Choose between Receive amount (fee added on top) and Withdrawal amount (fee taken out of the figure).
  5. Review the network fee and final amount shown on screen. This is where you check the current fee.
  6. Tap Withdraw. If the address is new, Binance shows a safety prompt and suggests a test transfer first.
  7. Confirm and verify with your passkey or 2FA device.

On the Binance website

  1. Go to Assets → Overview → Withdraw and click Withdraw Asset.
  2. Select USDT.
  3. Paste the external address or choose a saved one. The network is selected automatically, so check it matches TRC20.
  4. If Binance asks whether the receiving platform supports this network and you are unsure, choose No, I'm not sure and select the receiving platform to see which networks it accepts.
  5. Enter the amount, check the fee and the final amount, continue, and complete the security checks.

If anything about the address looks wrong, use the Stop and Go Back option rather than pushing through.

Which settings matter for a TRC20 withdrawal?

FieldWhat to enterCommon mistake
CoinUSDTPicking a similarly named token
AddressTRON address starting with TPasting a 0x address from MetaMask or an EVM exchange deposit page
NetworkTRON (TRC20)Leaving BEP20 or ERC20 selected because it was used last time
Amount modeReceive amount or Withdrawal amountPaying an invoice with Withdrawal amount and arriving short by the fee
MemoOnly if the receiving platform explicitly asksInventing a memo or leaving out a required one
FeeRead it on the withdrawal pageAssuming the fee from last month still applies
WhitelistOptional, adds a safeguardEnabling it and then wondering why a new address is blocked

The network choice deserves a second look every single time. Binance itself warns that sending on the wrong network can mean permanent loss, and it recommends choosing the network the receiving platform supports, not the one with the lowest fee.

Why is the Binance fee different from what TRON charges?

When you withdraw, Binance builds and signs the TRON transaction from its own hot wallet. It pays the energy and bandwidth, whether it stakes TRX for resources or burns it. You don't see that cost directly; you see Binance's flat fee per network.

For comparison, sending USDT from a personal wallet without energy burns TRX directly. On 21.10.2026, a standard transfer used about 64,285 energy, which at 100 SUN per unit is roughly 6.4 TRX, and about double for a recipient that has never held USDT. Binance's flat fee does not change based on whether your address is new. That is one practical reason to make the first USDT deposit into a fresh wallet via an exchange: the new-holder premium is the exchange's problem.

You also don't need TRX on the receiving address to get the withdrawal. You will need TRX or rented energy later, when you move that USDT out of your own wallet. Our step-by-step guide on how to send USDT TRC20 covers that part.

Should I use a whitelist or a Binance User transfer?

Address whitelist. In the address field, open Address Management, add the address, tick Add Address to Whitelist, save, and complete 2FA. With whitelisting on, Binance only lets you withdraw to approved addresses. It is a strong defence against a compromised session draining your account, at the cost of an extra step when you add a new recipient.

Binance User. If the recipient also uses Binance, the website offers a Binance User option where you send by email, phone or Binance ID. This is an internal transfer between accounts and does not go on the TRON blockchain at all, so there is no TxID to check on Tronscan. Review whatever fee and final amount Binance shows before sending.

How do I track the withdrawal after confirming?

  1. Open the withdrawal in Transaction History. Status moves from processing to completed.
  2. Once broadcast, Binance shows a TxID (transaction hash). Copy it.
  3. Paste the TxID into Tronscan. Check three fields: the result is SUCCESS, the recipient matches the address you intended, and the token contract is USDT (TR7NHqjeKQxGTCi8q8ZY4pL8otSzgjLj6t).

TRON produces a block about every three seconds, so once a TxID exists, the transfer is usually final within a minute. If the status sits at processing for a long time with no TxID, the hold is on Binance's side: withdrawals can be paused for security reasons, such as unusual account activity, and support is the right place to ask.

If Tronscan shows SUCCESS but the recipient says nothing arrived, the problem is on the receiving side, typically a wrong address, wrong network expectations, or a deposit that the receiving platform has not credited yet. Our troubleshooting guide for USDT sent but not received walks through each case.

What else can go wrong with a Binance TRC20 withdrawal?

  • Minimum amount not met. Binance sets a minimum per coin and network; the withdrawal page shows it.
  • Suspended network. During network maintenance, Binance may temporarily disable TRC20 withdrawals for USDT. The option appears greyed out.
  • Address poisoning. Scammers send tiny transfers from look-alike addresses so that the wrong one appears in your history. Copy addresses from the recipient, not from past transactions, and compare the whole string.
  • Saved address of a closed account. If the recipient changed exchanges, an old saved address may no longer be monitored. Ask for a fresh one for large amounts.

A small test withdrawal, followed by the full amount once it lands, costs one extra fee and removes most of these risks.

Send your next transfer on rented energy

Right now, 65,000 energy for an hour is 3.15 TRX. Energy on your address in seconds, no keys needed.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Binance fee for a USDT TRC20 withdrawal?

Binance charges a flat withdrawal fee per network that changes over time. The current figure is shown on the withdrawal page next to the amount, before you confirm. Check it there each time rather than relying on a number from an article.

Do I need TRX in my wallet to receive a USDT TRC20 withdrawal from Binance?

No. Binance sends the transaction from its own wallet and pays the on-chain cost. You only need TRX or energy later, when you want to send that USDT onward.

How long does a Binance TRC20 withdrawal take?

Once Binance processes the request and broadcasts it, the TRON network itself confirms in seconds to about a minute. Delays usually come from Binance's internal review or security checks, not from the blockchain.

Can I withdraw USDT TRC20 from Binance to an ERC20 address?

No. An address starting with 0x belongs to an EVM network. A TRC20 withdrawal needs a TRON address starting with T. Mismatched networks are the most common cause of permanent loss.

What is the difference between Receive amount and Withdrawal amount?

With Receive amount, the fee is added on top so the recipient gets the exact figure you typed. With Withdrawal amount, the fee is deducted from the figure you typed and the recipient gets slightly less.
