Activate a new TRON address
A new TRON address only exists on paper until the network creates an account for it. Until then it gets no free bandwidth, can’t receive delegated energy, and some wallets flag it as inactive.
Why activation is needed
Activation is the first transaction that creates the account on-chain. Usually it happens when someone first sends TRX to the address, and the network charges that sender an account-creation fee of about 1 TRX.
If your wallet is brand new and holds no TRX, there’s nothing to activate it with. The bot does it for you: give it the address, it sends the activation transaction and tells you once the account is live.
What changes after activation
| Before | After | |
|---|---|---|
| Free bandwidth | none | 600 units a day |
| Energy rental to the address | not possible | available |
| Sending USDT | not possible | possible |
| On Tronscan | blank page | account with creation date |
How to activate through the bot
Copy the address
A TRON address starts with T and is 34 characters long.
Choose activation in the bot
It checks whether the address is already active and shows the cost.
Confirm
Seconds later the account exists on-chain and you can rent energy for it.
Frequently asked questions
How can I tell an address isn’t activated?
Open it on Tronscan: an inactive address has no creation date and no resources. Wallets such as TronLink say so directly or refuse to send tokens.
Does an incoming USDT transfer activate the address?
No. A USDT transfer records the balance in the token contract but doesn’t create the account on-chain — only a TRX or TRC-10 transfer does. The USDT shows up, but you can’t move it until the address is activated.
Do exchange addresses need activation?
No, exchange deposit addresses are already active. Activation is for new personal wallets.
